That would be awesome for us 49ers fan. The franchise is in the toilet right now.

I'll take 49ers job, he can always go back to college if it doesn't work out.

He trashed their academics not long after he got the Stanford job. If he stays in college, he isn't going to sacrifice his own academic standards for success on the field.

Bama opens with Michigan in 2012...yes.

Plus this may make Miles their 2nd choice to approach.

He would be nuts to leave Stanford. He has the program in a solid position. Great place/area to live. And the money is good. Leaving would be a stupid move for Michigan or the 49ers.

This. He has the opportunity to coach a NFL franchise with a ton of great history, and it's in the same area where he already lives. And if he fails, he'll have plenty of college options.

Bingo! He is going to the 49ers and would be crazy not to. Harbaugh can handle the NFL. It's in the area he already loves in Cali. It would also be a doubling of his current salary if not more than that. With twice his salary he can make a good quality of life in the bay area.

Kudos to the admin for salvaging what was an abortion of a thread.

Michigan wants Miles if Miles wants Michigan IMO.

Assuming Harbaugh goes pro.

If he leaves for San Francisco then we need to pick up David Shaw and Greg Roman.

this COULD end up saving the Michigan job for Les Miles.

If I were Harbaugh, I would KNOW already whether I want NFL or Meechigan.

Harbaugh is already talking to Meechigan.

Niners are too slow and too scared to make a wrong move, so they will miss on Harbaugh. He will be in Michigan making snowmen with his kids before the Niners have a clue.
