My gut feeling is we'll know during the Ohio State - Michigan game that Lane stays at Ole Miss.

At this point, LSU’s chances look more bleak with every minute that passes. If Lane is waiting on the outcome of the Iron Bowl, then he’s not rock solid to LSU. Simple as that. It appears that lsu has been much more confident than they should have been this whole time. If this was a “done deal”, there’s zero chance the national media wouldn’t have it by now.

He's looking from a coach's perspective. If you look at it from the schools or fans perspective, once he agrees to $100 million+ with LSU, he gives up his right to coach another team.

I agree with that, however if he’s the coach we want (which he is) and his ultimatum is I want to finish the playoff run, then you let him.
