Wasn’t he super successful at North Dakota State and won the Big 12 last year? He has a long track record of success and has overachieved in the Big 12 based on their talent. Definitely could be worse.
This wasn’t a shot at Klieman he’s a good coach, but he’s not the sexy big name hire that A&M fans want. He also seems like the type of guy like Mike Leach was who does well at under the radar jobs with tampered expectations.

This is the hire that would cause the melt and then the guy would win 10+ games every year.

Kleiman is indeed a great coach, but does he have any recruiting ties to Texas?

Looks like he has about 15 players on his roster from Texas. I don't think that matters though. Plenty of successful coaches didn't have recruiting ties in their state when they were hired.

Recruiting isn't the issue at A&M. It never has been. It's coaching.

Horrible comparison. Klieman is an hard-nosed football coach that wins. I loved Leach, but he was a gimmick coach. Complete polar opposites.

Klieman will be a candidate for the Michigan job if Harbaugh leaves. Would be perfect there.

And Mike Leach didn’t win? He literally gave Texas Tech and Washington State their best era of success. I’m sure Leach would’ve won a couple of FCS titles if he coached at that level as well.

He won relative to the program’s expectations. Kleiman has won championships at every stop.

Traylor is Sumlin or Napier 2.0

You don’t pay $100 million to go get UTSA’s coach

Condelezza Rice

She stepped down from the playoff committee. Imagine atm hiring her lol.

It would not surprise me if they hired a tranny or someone to make a social statement.

aTm doesn't need a "guru" like Jimbo. They need someone young and hungry who will come in and kick some arse. Some of these older guys already have a legacy.
