He was a position coach, yes he was a good recruiter but we replaced him with an even better one in Wilson. Y’all are melting down like this is Saban leaving all over again

Sounds like you were an Omega with Corey at LSU.

Perhaps you’re a little too close to the situation.

No one wants Corey gone. But we can all acknowledge he’s been here a long time and perhaps change is ok.

Feasible. How many db’s have we lost to Alabama? How many other positions have we?

The same title we gave to Mickey Joseph.
It’s not a real job.

Judging by the upvotes, there is hope for the Tiger fan base.

Tell Raymond that. Sometimes it’s just those smal measures of appreciation. He was essentially hired for the same position at UF

Lmfao I shouldn’t be surprised that this board is even pretending it’s okay with losing Corey Raymond.

There is no limit to the homeristic delusion.

Of all places, he chose to go to Florida. He can go frick himself. It's wild that you would rather everyone melt and be a bitch like you, when most of us aren't losing sleep over Corey Raymond. Life goes on.

Associate/assistant/whatever head coach titles are just bullshite thats used to pay people more money. They mean absolutely nothing, carry absolutely no actual significance, and don’t change expectations or responsibilities in the slightest.

I hate we are losing him but I also understand that we are going to have some uncomfortable moments in this reboot of the LSU football culture

Thank you coach and good luck

Hate to see him go, but he’s not the only guy who knows how to coach top notch DBs. Let’s get another one and keep rolling.

I’m giving Kelly every chance to succeed, but letting Raymond go can’t be spun as a positive at all. How many DB’s say all the time they’re coming here to be coached by Corey? If the replacement isn’t a homerun, letting him walk over a few hundred thousand is a gross miscalculation. The DBU moniker alone has brought an insane amount of free advertising.

I don’t remember DBU being uttered before Raymond got here, but maybe I just wasn’t paying attention. We’ve had really good DB’s obviously

An Omega would never have “Nupe” in his name. That’s a rival fraternity

Maybe the leveraging coaches is what’s breeding leveraging players.

Corey Raymond is an excellent coach and recruiter. Nobody wants him to leave.

He’s also not irreplaceable. If he were, he’d have been a DC half a decade ago.

This.

Nobody wanted him gone, man. But maybe this culture we have of a coach being bigger than the program is why players think they’re bigger than the program. Mf’ers literally were on an undefeated NC team and started opting out or transferring well before O being canned was a thought. And frankly it’s been since Miles.

I don’t like losing Raymond but being shook down every year gets old. You’re not really for the program if you have that mentality. We need a culture change.
