I was told by someone who is very influential with TAF that an announcement will be made either right before or shortly after the Texas A&M game. This information was told to me prior to LSU losing today.
The two coaching candidates in consideration are CEO (prior to LSU losing today) and Fisher.
The concern is that 50 % of the LSU fan base would be happy and the other 50 % would be pissed off. Since LSU lost today, this thought process may not hold any water now.

That would explain why Alleva was so pissed after the loss today.
Jimbo and Herman must have turned us down. He was going to bite the bullet and make 1/2 the fanbase happy by making O our coach. He can't do that now.
He is on the clock to find a coach quickly, and he knows no matter who he hires they won't be acceptable to the fans and boosters. This also explains Brandos tweet about Holgerson.
Alleva is fricked.
