All Kiffin has to do is not leave for LSU. At the end of the day, he could avoid all of this

I believe this is 100% correct. Let him coach his team.

Lane will only come if he doesn’t win the national championship is what that argument boils down to that’s why.

“Oh he could publicly announce and still coach” that’s not happening. OM will let him coach if he doesn’t announce because then the door is still open for them.

Kiffen has no leverage. He does not own the assistants or players. That’s not even a rumor.

He’s not going to the NFL but a perceived in conference rival. He may want to do it but if he’s actually leaving for LSU, Ole Miss is totally justified in not wanting him to coach. If there is any validity to OP it’s honestly pretty selfish and narcissistic on his part.

They should let him finish. FFS do they really think this is gonna be a regular thing for them? He can't take an NC with him if they win.

Tell the AD that they can have LSU’s staff if they are running low

He’s threatening to burn the motha-fricka down if he’s forced out.

Kiffin is a gangster.

Playing for keeps

Why wouldn’t we?

And “you are Ole Miss” isn’t a valid answer

That also puts LSU in a hard place. We don’t want him coaching their playoffs.
I don't give a shite if he coaches their playoffs, just as long as he becomes our coach after the season is over.

If it’s true it sounds like he’s definitely coming to LSU. Assuming Carter has any balls, you can’t let Lane make threats and then stay

Go ahead. The reason he hasn’t left is because the optics look bad on him if he does. If he goes scorched earth then he takes his precious reputation down with him

Right. We’d need assurances tho. He’d need to sign something which would put him at odds with OM contractually right

Isn't it though? Ole Miss never has, and never will, win a national championship. You can't even win the SEC West. LSU >>>>infinity> Ole Miss.

It’s what he should do. He is one who has been clear that he doesn’t love all the rules but he will use them to his advantage. That is a shrewd stance and it’s someone I would want on my side. Take no prisoners approach.

Hmmm, are you the spokesperson for entire LSU fanbase? No, then STFU.

I don’t care who Lane coaches for in 2025, as long as he coaches LSU in 2026.

But he wants to coach at a big time school, not Ole Piss.
