Aggies have an experienced head coach on the payroll right now. With history of success. And he’s apparently an offensive genius.

Maybe because he has left every program he’s touched a steaming pile of ruin. It’s really impressive that Louisville let him do it to them twice.

Wasn’t that volleyball player an adult, non-student? 2 consenting adults had an affair?
And I thought (I could be wrong) every college team he took over started winning more games in the 1st/2nd year of his tenure.

What happened to each immediately after he left? Other than Western KY, they all fell off a fricking cliff. In his second stint at Loserville, the cliff came before he finally quit. And he quit on the Falcons after not even completing one terrible season as an NFL coach.
He also wasn’t very successful in his FCS run.
The Volleyball player may have been an adult, but he broke state laws hiring her for an athletic dept position without a job search. She had no qualifications. Well, none that go on a resume.

hey, hey. hold on. I kinda remember that. That was because Michael Vick got thrown in federal prison for running a dog fighting operation. Nobody saw that coming.
Maybe it's because I grew up with Edwin Edwards was governor ... but none of this sounds disqualifying to me.

If memory serves she was an adult, but wasn’t she on his staff in some job? I admittedly don’t know HR laws in Arkansas, but in Texas having sex with one of your employees usually ends up not going well.

Petrino had her fast tracked to be hired. It later came out that she didn’t have the necessary experience to be hired to the position she was hired to. Anyone that applied and was qualified could have had a lawsuit against the UofA. It was around 150-160 applicants. Then AD Jeff Long also mentioned she would have a lawsuit for sexual harassment in the workplace.
He was fired for cause and the Arkansas board made a new rule about Petrino. Apparently the rule didn’t apply to former hires/fires so while it technically doesn’t apply to Petrino.. Arkansas fans still hold onto hope he’ll be hired back and they’ll be on the fast track to a Natty again. Arkansas fans ignore the legality of the situation and purely think he was fired for an affair.

Not really true. Anytime he’s brought up as an option on our boards it usually gets shot down immediately by the masses due to him not being eligible for rehire. Most people realize this.

Living in NWA and being on Razorback boards and groups.. I will say some believe this, but you have a lot that don’t. Even Mike Irwin was talking earlier about bringing Bobby back as OC.

I agree. Won as a Head Coach, knows the SEC. It made a lot of sense. That episode with the girl should be behind him now. This would have been the right hire. A&M did what A&M does.

A classy coach he isn't. He walked out on his Atlanta team before the season ended, never meeting with the players, leaving each a short note on each locker. Not really a factor but a friend, now retired, used to call several of his games a year, over the years. Friend said he was the most foul mouthed coach he'd ever had on a side lines.
