he was talking about how hard LSU fans are on coaches and how as perfect of a fit Coach O was it all fell apart in 2 years

he said some fan on a message board like tiger droppings could have reservations on hearing Lincoln Riley is the OC and Kirby Smart is the DC

he ain't exactly lying

O is a moron. He’s a perfect fit if perfect fit means someone who you could pull straight from the stands.

Like Joe Kines for Alabama. Or Nevin Shapiro for Miami.

This is the dumbest argument ever used. Orgeron was a "perfect fit" for LSU, but we see how that worked out. A good coach will come in and create his own winning culture.

How was O a perfect fit? he's a mediocre coach who was in way over his head and lucked into a generational QB and a championship.

LSU hired curly hallman based on his success at USM. Turns out it wasn't so much his coaching but was more a generational QB named Brett Favre.

And yes, there would be some posters on this board that would be unhappy with any hire. That's true of most fanbases. Also louisiana in particular has one of the worst education systems in the country, so it makes sense we have more stupid fans on average.

The notion of Coach of O was a perfect fit or he was one of us needs to stop. He was neither. He was from Louisiana. THats it. He gone now. Time for a new exciting chapter. As for what he said about some of the fans here, hes right. Some will never be happy with anybody. That just means we have some idiots for fans! Geaux Tigers and Welcome aboard Coach Kelly

And just what does he know about LSU football and its fan base?

Just another talking (empty) head.

I do not understand this line of thinking either. Saban was a perfect fit for LSU. Miles was a less better fit. O was just a cajun. We got a million of those in this state, we need a person that knows football. Geeze.

and this is also something that isn't unique to LSU at all, I don't know why people act like it is. Hell, at least here you have state run media so they don't/can't come after the coach as much in other markets. Go to NY, Philly, or Chicago and see what kind of meanies their fans are.

The "oh man they fired a guy 2 years removed from a NC, they're brutal" rhetoric lacks any kind of nuance or understanding of many outside factors from just wins and losses.

Burns should be ostracized for the cultural fit crap. Enough of that.

You know what else is a perfect fit! Winning consistently and competing with the upper echelon of college football every year. Not once and then slip in to mediocrity like OU.

Got the OU jab in
