Bill Belichick is no longer in this year's NFL coaching cycle, but another Super Bowl-winning head coach could be.

Pete Carroll, who led the Seahawks to the franchise's lone Super Bowl title back in 2012, is eyeing a return to the sidelines in 2025 and has expressed interest in the Chicago Bears' head coaching position, according to ESPN.

Carroll parted ways with the Seahawks in January following a 14-year partnership. He alluded to a possible return to coaching when he was asked about his future back in August.

Would be a fantastic hire imo. He's always won and has the energy of a 20 year old.

That would be such a Bears move. Old lady owner doesn't even know what day of the week it is.

It makes no sense to pair a 73-year-old coach with a 23-year-old QB that needs to be developed. The only teams Carroll would be a fit for are teams that are in win now mode like the Cowboys, Bucs, or even the Saints who have an expensive, veteran QB and can't afford to blow it up and start over due to their salary cap situation.

To be fair, Mrs McCaskey's brain probably still functions better than Kevin Warren's, Ryan Poles' and her son's combined.

His neck is strong, it supports the reciprocating motion of his jaw from chewing gum all day.

Ben Johnson is clearly the most obvious answer for what this team needs. You throw him so much guaranteed money he can’t say no. Let him develop and work magic with Caleb. Then go hire Salah to lead the defense and give BJ an experienced voice in the room.

It’s so obvious what to do the Bears will 100% do the exact opposite.

Brian Flores just got floated as a potential name. Went to Boston college with Ryan Poles

Not my first choice but If he could get Josh McCowen to come with and run the offense I wouldn’t hate this move. Guy is a wizard defensively and would change the bum arse culture instantly.

More and more nfl guys predicting Johnson would prefer Jags to bears at this point.
