Penn state doesnt even have a DC opening and im willing to bet what wed be willing to pay and a bump in title would be enough to keep him from Temple

Its either be the DC at temple
Be the co DC at penn state
Or be the co DC at A&M and wed be able to match, and exceed, any dollar amount

He goes 7-5, 7-5, 9-3 at Duke he either gets a big extension or an offer from a big program It’s not a bad move

And if he fails he’ll get a DC job paying him $3+ mil per year

Only 60 P5 jobs. Hard for assistants to get one.

I don’t think it affects A&M’s class much. Those kids aren’t getting on board for scheme reasons.

I am rooting for Robinson to get his shot as DC. I know it’s a whole different game than being a position coach and recruiting but he works his arse off and is not someone I would bet against at succeeding at whatever he wants to do

I'm greedy. I want Wisconsin's DC. Not only is he a safeties-focused coach like Elko, but he was a former NFL DB.

I dont know where I fall. On one hand, I agree with you and simply want us to do everything we can to keep him. On the other, I worry about someone with literally no experience may not be ready for a job as big as ours

I can definitely be talked into it though cause I do agree with you about him

Penn State doesnt have an open DC position. Their guy didnt get the Virginia job and the already announced hed be back at Penn State. Elijah would be leaving for a co DC role and thats something I could see us giving him as well

$1.8 M. He got a pay bump to $2.1M in 2019 when Temple and other schools started calling.

Yeah, there's basically no pressure at Duke. Make a bowl game most years, and you're good.

You don't have to understand. Just like it as an LSU fan. This could help big push some of these guys they been getting to February and give BK more time to pull them here!

I feel like he could’ve done better. That’s gonna be such a hard place to win. If I was him I would’ve stayed put until a better opportunity came. I’ve said for years that whenever Cutcliffe was gone that Duke should go the triple option route

It’s the ACC dude. They played Northwestern, Kansas, Charlotte, and North Carolina A&T OOC. It can’t be that hard to win if you’re a decent coach.

They certainly know each other. Wouldn’t be that surprising. I’m sure the 50+ year old contingent on TexAgs is bleeding about the fact he was mean to us when he was at Texas and Florida so that’s fun too.

If I'm not mistaken y'all did make an offer to Muschamp for analyst after he got fired. Him and Jimbo go way back and are really tight.

I think he chose UGA because alma mater and his son is there.

Yeah the ERob Penn State rumor is that he would replace Pry as Co-Dc basically with Poindexter. I think we will go to great lengths to keep him but anything can happen

Pruitt was supposed to be our DC before he took the Tennessee job but I’m guessing nobody will touch him with a ten foot pole now
