I think steeples has a lot of potential to be a great recruiter too.

Look. We get it. You don’t like any of the hires because they actually had to interview to get the job. You would much rather the head coach just call up his old drinking buddies to run the program like the last moron did.

It's also Kelly's offense so I wouldn't expect to see the same offense you saw today at LSU next year. Denbrock will help Kelly install KELLY'S system since he is familiar with it.
I would guess Denbrock will be the in game play caller but the game plan and in game adjustments will be influenced heavily by Kelly.
Using tonight's game as the barometer for Denbrocks ability as an OC is absurd.

We’ll see what happens. Most would have preferred a younger, more creative, and aggressive OC. Maybe Sloan is going to contribute to the offensive brain trust and bring that.

Hankton is the main priority. There is a sleeper out there though.
So Peetz for RB and Wilson for WR. Got it.

Dude...how long is it going to take for you to figure out it's going to be Kelly shaping the offense not the OC? Did you think that Kelly was going to hire someone to come in and just do whatever they want?

It’s Kelly’s offense and LSUs talent. We were one competent OC from beating Bama last month.

Denbrock is not a sexy hire and I'm not the biggest fan of his scheme, but he makes plenty sense for LSU's strengths right now. It's going to be BK's offense regardless so scheme and fit matters here. Denbrock isn't some new kid on the block he can likely adjust his scheme easily to BK's liking as they're going to want it to fit LSU's best strengths. You have an All-American WR in Boutte who is a perfect deep threat. We have a stable of RBs who can pound the ball in RPO heavy situations. Brennan is a beautiful deep ball thrower perfect for the over the top style to Boutte. Bech is a rising star who will probably be a superstar hybrid TE in Denbrock's system. He makes all the sense to hire even if he's not the sexiest pick.

the irony of this post. Denbrock is literally Kelly’s old buddy.
They worked together for like one season. And he still actually had to interview for the job.
I’m sorry it didn’t work out for your mongreloid buddy due to his own ineptitude but it’s time to move on. Just like we had to accept that LSU hired that drunken speech impediment, you now have to accept that LSU is going after a higher class and standard.

From the beginning Kelly said it would be his offense. No shite he hired a guy he knows to run it.
Your arse buddy coach O had no clue what offense he wanted. Just that it should be able to score like the joe Brady offense

Check again. They’ve worked together at multiple stops for significant amounts of time dating back to the 80’s.

Higher than Peetz? Absolutely.

Better than any OC we’ve had in 25 years. (Which isn’t a high standard because almost all of them have sucked. 2019 was the players not the coaching staff. Even a coach as bad as Kirby Shart couldn’t have fricked that team up)

You don't think Bk has made good hires and there's no merit to him making a Denbrock hire since he's so familiar with him? You don't think he knows what he's capable of from a gameplan, X and Os, scheme adjustment, and fluid game adjustment point of view? Considering his other hires I think he should get at least a little credibility here because all his hires have targeted from major potential homeruns to pure homeruns.
He's not an idiot like the previous coach who likes to rely on others to find coaches for him. O would rather make a hire based on what ole bending over in a game looking useless on a sideline chewing gum Pete Carroll would recommend. He probably learned how clap and be useless on the sideline from Pete. No, BK actually evaluates and targets the hires unlike the other clueless dumbass before him.
