It may or may not be him, but some of you have lost your frigging minds with attacking him and claiming Napier would be a better hire.

The man lifted Cinci up to a legit program and had them as high as number 3 going into the bowl games then went on to do at ND what few before him could. Recruiting to ND is not near as easy when they actually require the athletes to be able to do things like read and basic math. Eve their lowered athlete requirements are higher than LSUs regular ones.

I can’t stand Notre Dame, but Kelly has performed nearly equivalent there as some of y’all’s crush on Riley.

He may or may not be coach but he gets crapped on entirely too much because of the notre dame hatred.

My biggest concerns are his age and lack of QB development. But I think he’s a good hire. He’s like a souped up version of O or Les - a real program builder. I just sort of was hoping for an X’s and O’s Guy who can really get us going at QB.

Kelly is a solid choice. Not sure LSU is a good fit though.

He will be run off in 3 years.

LSU is completely shitting the bed on this. I can't believe how bad this is.

Not a fan of his offenses. Don't think he would translate well in the SEC. Just an opinion. Not exciting at all.

It 100% not going to be him. I look around the country and I honestly can't count more than one or two coaches who are more firmly entrenched in their programs than Kelly at ND.

The only way he leaves South Bend is in a casket.

He is a great coach, and he's not coming to LSU.

Nah man, we were promised a QB guru.

Instead we might be hiring a guy who hasn’t produced a QB in his lifetime.

At one of the most prestigious QB schools in the country.

Maybe. But you’d have to admit that would be necessary to make sense of this.

No one is concerned with Brian Kelly I assure you of that. But in all honesty I cant see why he would leave ND where he just became the schools all time winningest coach correct? Then bolts? Kinda tarnishes your legacy there doesnt it? He seems arrogant enough to where that matters to him in some capacity.

No we don't. We just have higher aspirations for this program. We want a program builder. At this point in his career, Kelly is not that guy. He can't stay here for 7-10 years and usher in a new era when Saban retires.

You realize his offenses are limited by the type of talent he can get. He will have access to significantly better talent at LSU from a recruiting standpoint and will be able to have a higher octane offense with it.
