Not a bad hire. It was actually great that they went outside of the Penn State family at all. I'm very surprised. And, I think going outside the Penn State family can show that they are really serious about cleaning up their image.
This hire had zero to do with fielding a competitive football team and everything to do with the University's image. And, I hope that O'Brien can help them accomplish that. And, he's only 42. So, they can keep him for 10 years while they clean up their University, then go hire a real coach if he isn't successful.

Figured this would be the case, it was just a matter of time.

I think we can safely say the Pedos are the most delusional fanbase in the country. This is definitely a risky hire but I'm pretty sure they were out of options. And it shouldn't be a secret why it's not a very attractive job right now. The uproar from their fans is hilarious and brings back memories of the uproar over firing Paterno.

Lavar Arrington not happy, per ESPN.

Apparently he wanted Bradley to be the head coach. No way Penn State could allow that.

This is the only thing that could happen.
If you bring in a guy from the program youd have people all over him trying to connect him to Sandusky and create a story
Penn State fans need to realize they arent getting the first pick of the litter and that most essablished coaches wouldnt touch the Penn state job

Good luck O'Brien, you're gonna need it
This. A lot of it because everybody up there is pissed. Too bad. After that horrible shite, they should also change their vaunted classic uniforms. They need to purge all memory of the past. When I think Penn St. I think of the Sandusky scandal and it's fricking disturbing.

When you think of LSU do you think of Jim Welles, Prather Warren or Kenneth Kyle?

No, we think of Pokey Chapman.

My point was idiots like above call PSU alumni "pedos" or link us to Sandusky but no one thinks of those guys when they think of LSU. I'm alumni of both schools and it's beyond time to stop with the pedo bullshite.
Back on topic, while I'm not excited about the hire, I'm always willing to give people chances.

the human memory is basically based around major events, and for normal people, the rest of our memories are stories we tell ourselves. we do remember the vivid events
the PSU scandal was a little vivid. there is no possible way bradley didn't know something. every year all coaches that recruit against PSU have to do is talk about how he supports child rape. how could bradley respond?

Given what the program has been through, Lion nation should show class with restraint of criticism and support the new hire with a round of rhythmic clapping.

I completely agree but I'm referring to the labeling of PSU alumni as pedos.
