Start listening around 3:00 mark. This is from his show tonight. I know we clown this dude on here, but he is, to be fair, very well connected in the SEC and he does talk directly to coaches multiple times per week, especially Lane. Others like Ross Dellinger have said that LSU has the momentum but that nothing is finalized.

For the "done deal" bros, am I an a-hole if I simply ask if it is actually possible that nothing is actually signed or even verbally agreed? That while we are on the 10 yard line, maybe this isn't "done"? Because there are a lot of very well connected people that have not said it's done, but maybe they have to have a higher degree of confidence to make a definitive statement like that, idk. Someone help me reconcile this lol.

Pate said so little in that video I don’t even know why he made one.

Kiffin has already signed a deal with Ole Miss and will stay at Ole Miss. Book it. You don't tell everyone you will announce your decision after the Egg Bowl when your team has a great chance at making the Playoff. It would be the biggest doosh move ever if he selected LSU or Florida right before he takes his team to the playoff

You also don’t make a statement that says “a decision on the future will be made after…” That’s not an I’m staying statement. If he was staying in OM he’d have signed, and a statement would have been made putting to bed any doubt that he’s leaving.

He may not be coming to LSU but he’s definitely leaving or giving OM one more shot at keeping him.

Why not do it Friday to clear up all the distractions instead of pissing off fans and boosters? Would be a dumb reason to do that. He could very well still decide to stay, but it won't be because it was already done.

You don't say you're announcing a decision post egg bowl if he signed there, you want that out immediately so players aren't distracted

You got this part right at least

Everyone involved in OM's football program is on edge and will be absolutely mental for the next week. Players, coaches, AD, fans, everyone. They are not going to have a normal week of prep. They are distracted as hell. In 5 days they play a road game against their hated rival, in one of the most intense rivalry games in the country, in a disproportionately difficult road trip, against an opposing fanbase that is going to be out for absolute blood knowing everything going on with the opportunity to ruin their rival's historical season. Starkville is going to be an absolute madhouse

If you've already signed a deal with Ole Miss, you announce it last Friday and end all of the distraction. State has a ranked win and nearly beat 2 others. This is not an automatic win at all. This might end up being one of the toughest games Kiffin's ever coached

Playing his cards just like the five star recruits do now. Sold to the highest bidder. I mean he has built Ole Miss into a power why leave it now? I am sure Ole Miss can pay what the other two are offering also.

Kiffin knows exactly where he is coaching next year.

I think it is LSU.

Not everything is about money. He even said it himself

He said in a presser few weeks ago that NIL leveled things but players are still attracted to the blue blood programs, big stadiums, tradition, championships, heismans etc.

Lane is attracted to all that stuff as well. Why stay at Ole Miss when he will just find himself complaining about the same stuff, because Ole Miss doesn’t have those things.

Pate is right. Kiffin hasn't decided yet. All of the "done deal" mess is nonsense.

Kiffin originally wanted to decide the Egg Bowl, Ole Miss tried to call his bluff, so he sent his family around as a countermove, and now he's still deciding after the Egg Bowl.

Also, NIL hasn't "leveled" things as much as some people want to believe.

Yeah he knows. He just wanted to finish the season. Ole Miss just got nervous and and put Lane in a corner.

Doesn’t jive with

So Lane Kiffin has already signed the deal and is waiting until after their rivalry game with a spot in the playoffs on the line to let everyone know? Everyone would know as soon as he signed an extension with Ole Miss because it would unify the players and fan base on their playoff trajectory. Keeping it a secret only hurts them.

He may end up staying at Ole Miss, I don’t know, but your argument is fricking retarded and sounds like a coping Ole Miss fan.
