I’ve always thought any return to the NFL by Saban would be predicated on the team having an established QB
Agreed.

Remember, when he was with the Dolphins he wanted Brees, bigly. And he got overruled on that one.

On the one hand, the rise of the Alabama dynasty wouldn't have happened had N$ gotten Brees to Miami. On the other hand, the Saints wouldn't have the SB Trophy nor would they be the constant playoff competitor.

Regardless, if N$ had gotten Brees, it's highly likely he'd still be in the League.

Youd be stupid not to reach out to Saban to gauge interest if you had any kind of job hed consider.

Saban’s angry dago midget schtick doesn’t work on grown men who are already millionaires.

My sources in upper-level animal control management in Brown, Kewaunee, and Oconto counties confirm the OP. Saban to the Browns, er um Packers is imminent. They say it's Mrs Terry's penchant for cheese curd that sealed the deal.

According to Brees NS just kind of went along with his training staff. If I remember from the book Brees even asked him point blank “what do YOU think coach” or something similar. Saban apparently waffled a bit. Meanwhile Payton was trying to move heaven and earth to get him.

I’ve been hearing for a whole week now that GB never surrounded ERIN Rodgers with any talent

But they specifically have interest in Saban.

Why would they reach out to Saban? Everyone one on here that isn't a Bama fan says Saban sucked in the NFL. So why would a storied NFL franchise be looking at a coach like that?

Saban failing in the NFL is the biggest myth. He was average. I think he would succeed if he went back. He’s already proven to be the best college football coach of all time. If he jumped it wouldn’t be until after Tua graduates.

He has stated on multiple occsssions in the last 2-3 years that Bama was his last stop( I know , “ I won’t be the coach at Alabama” thing) but I think he is sincere. He is getting old and has mellowed tremendously . Last years championship interview and his voice cracking this year after the SECCG, I believe he retires here. The clerk at the Shell station on McFarland blvd heard him say it too. However I think he could be a good coach in the NFL if he wanted to pursue it, I just think with player’s egos, current climate in the NFL, etc I don’t think he wants to deal with it.

He needs to retire after Tua. Their comeback didn’t even phase me against UGA this year.

If you look at some pictures of him he actually looks better than he did at MSU( sure he has hair color and what not ) but your right , I don’t see him staying past 3-4 years. Recruits in interviews says he promises them he will, who knows?

Of course they reached out. Every opening does.

The question will be, how is the nightlife in green bay? We know that's big on sabans list.
