Riley may not be the hire, but that’s an extremely homer post. Riley isn’t coming into LA and pulling our recruits just because we went after him.
If they believe that I have bad news for them.

Even if you live in a mansion with high security, you have to leave sometime. Your kids have to go to school. If they’re teenagers, I’m sure they wanna run around with their friends. Personally as a Dad I would take a few million less to live in a safer community. BR has one of the highest crime rates per capita in the country. I would stay in Oklahoma if I were him.

Agents eat AD's for lunch, that's their job and all that they do.
No surprise.

Awful crime, awful traffic, etc. It isn’t a nice place to live. Norman maybe podunk, but it’s a safe quaint place to raise a family

This would be a total football decision and that's it.

BR gets crushed compared to other college towns

Is this "OU version of TBL" or is this Brandon Drumm? Because this sounds like Brandon Drumm or someone similarly hackish. Regardless of if this is Riley, this does not make any sense at all.
1. Right, the guy from the Texas panhandle is above living in Baton Rouge. Right. That makes sense. And they're also...I don't know quite the right word so I'll just say racist about cajuns despite having no interaction with the culture? This definitely happened and was said by Riley.
2. Businesses are of course notorious for overpaying staff and giving them huge extensions for absolutely no reason.
3. Sure, that is believable. Just because it's planned doesn't mean you can't use another job to leverage more, but I don't find it unbelievable that OU wants to hire more analysts.
4. I don't even know what to say about recruiting. No, flirting with LSU will not help your recruiting. This is also pretty damn localized to LSU and OU message boards. Nobody nationally is talking about this being a real possibility. This is also bad for recruiting because it makes kids think that Lincoln Riley wants out and probably won't be there for their senior year.
Compare this to what tbl has said so far this search. Which is that Riley is the number one target with an offer on his metaphorical desk, that Riley hasn't said no yet, and that he agreed in principle to the giant offer. None of that is actually astounding information that is hard to believe. The most astounding thing is that a coach agreed to a ~50% pay raise to do the same job somewhere else which isn't actually astounding at all.

I used to live in Oklahoma. Okies are the actual worst. Never before or after have I seen a state with such a high concentration of jackass bullies. If I never have to go back, that would be great.

I mean, why risk it and leave your house at all?
Or maybe put your kids in a bubble?

Not surprised. They still were in ~2016. For whatever reason they especially hate Louisiana.

This is a retarded stance. If you think the upper middle class and above people in BR live or go around the areas where the dregs are, then idk what to tell you. BR is literally a tale of two cities and the haves are not going anywhere near where the have nots are.
And as far as schools go, most of your upper middle class families in BR send their kids to private schools, or magnet programs, so I’ve never understood schools are shite argument.
Any other asinine thoughts you want to put out there?

We’ll either be whooping their arse in the SEC with Riley, or with Aranda, or, frankly, with whatever coach Scott hires.
The only coach that can make a dent in recruiting elite Louisiana talent outside of LSU is Saban.
