I don’t believe Odom will be our DC, so it’s a dumb argument.

But he’s been a DC or HC in the SEC for 8 seasons. He was excellent as DC at Missouri. He improved Arkansas this year. He’s been a recruiting coordinator and is known as a good recruiter.

We would be lucky to have him, but I don’t believe he’s the guy,

He turned Memphis defense around in his first dc job. Went to Missouri and had the number 7 defense.

I don’t think Odom is as good as some like to believe.

His defenses st Memphis ranked 42, 38, 31 in ypg.

He got top 8 at Mizzou his 1st year there.

As head coach their defense went:
122, 70, 64, and then back into the 30s.

No one knows if he is actually worth a damn and just based on his first 4 games at arky doesn’t mean much.

Odom is not leaving the Hogs, he is buddies with Pittman and money is no object.

Richard would be an awful hire, the guy is way too full of himself.

Whoever it is, please tie the contract to O. Let’s face it. If these hires don’t pan out then he’s gone. We don’t need more stupid buyouts. I’m still sick over the Bo P buyout.
all for this. I think this should be SOP.

You leave out the fact that they were ranked 108 in 2011. The Memphis defense was pure shite before he got there and promptly returned to shite as soon as he left. Also, this was under Fuente, when the talent level was still improving from rock bottom. It was also before recruiting took off at Memphis under Norvell. He was not even working with mid-tier AAC talent and depth at the time.

Long story short- those defensive rankings against AAC offenses with what he had to work with prove the man can fricking coach. So there’s some context for your blindly regurgitated numbers.

Heisman Trophy winning and Pro Football Hall of Fame running back as defensive coordinator? Bold move.

I’ll just quit following the team completely.

Please do. Just go ahead and do it regardless of the decision. Chicken should kick you frickers of the rant who want to take your football and go home every time you don't get what you want. Who gives a frick about your opinion, you probably don't even go to the games and for some reason you feel entitled to be the one deciding on coaching hires. Shut up stupid, you are a horrible fan.
