Riley didn’t leave for the money. He left because he did not like OU going to the SEC and he had a bad relationship with Castinglione (OU’s AD). The compliance office at OU was up Riley’s arse and he hated that. I bet Stoops still being in the picture didn’t help.

If Dabo does this I have a new respect for him. He is trying to get to a team in the SEC while Riley tried to get as far away as possible.

People fail to consider that when talking about these types of moves. It’s not as cut and dry as it seems. All that said, Riley is still a piece of shite for taking all the coaches the way that he is. At least show gratitude for the school that gave you your first big job.

The reality is, none of the insiders know, because Joe C's circle is extremely small, after he had his list of candidates. The president, Joe C, and the chair of the BORs are the only ones that know, besides the candidates themselves.
Joe C actually leaked the Matt Rhule stuff, and everyone ran with it, and he found out who was leaking things with that.
I said from the beginning there was interest from Dabo with OU, but I never could find out if it was actual interest, or him helping himself in negotiations.
Unfortunately, with interviews, I'll never find out until it's over, since I don't have connections with agents, just with OUs AD, which won't know until it leaks. I just know there was interest. After Dabo, Fickell was next, but I doubt they'll go for him with him in the CFP. They'll move to Aranda, Brent, and Lanning after that.

That's what Football Scoop posted. I assume they got that from his agent. I would assume Aranda is at least interested if he's interviewing. Originally, there were questions if he would want to jump to OU. He enjoys Baylor.
Part of the issue is, OU wants the next coach to keep a lot of the OU guys that are on staff. Not sure a guy like Aranda will agree to that.
