I think he would be a great fit here and would find college ball to be a blast.

he did state in a interview on the nfl network that he is not interested in nfl jobs because of the stress on his family and he would be more interested in a college job. Altough I think very highly of Cowher, we would have to hire a few recruiting guru's especially if does not like to recruit.

somehow............I can see Bill loving recruiting.

During a game he would be fun to watch and there would be no question the players would respect him.

Boosters would love him too.

i wonder what kind of offense he would run down here.

can't see him hiring an OC that will go to a full blown spread offense.

Of course its probably not a realistic candidate, but if we have any shot at him then anyone who doesn't want him should be hit by a bus in btwn TS and Walk-Ons at say 6:45pm.

we throw 3 mill a year at him and he realizes he doesn't have the pressure of the NFL he comes.

I would think we'd have a great defense.

and he almost wouldn't have to recruit.

all he'd have to do for recruiting is say he coached in the nfl for many years and won a superbowl....that would get the attention of the players who want to be well prepared for the next level after college in the NFL.

No doubt he'd be the best hire possible. But reality beckons.

More likely that he will be the next Penn State coach, if Joe Paterno retires in the next 50 years or so.

Maybe they can get Ted William's kids to "preserve" his tradition if he passes prematurely.....

He has said he has no desire to go back to the NFL, but it'd be tough to turn down 7-8 mil. per year
