Official Fire Crowton Hire Mike Leach thread

Leach will take the job for about 750k to 1 million to try to get a NC. Get rid of Stud too.
Leach has always had a top offense. He will not abandon the run like everyone thinks. He just couldnt have running backs and Rec at TT.
This hire and we will be playing for a NC in 2011/2012.

We need someone who will see eye to eye with Les Miles. If we don't have someone like that we will continue to get no offensive identity.

This would be a great way for Leach to reestablish his credentials. Be the OC at LSU for 3 years or so, don't lock any kids in the closet, average 450 ypg and 40ppg and win, win, win, and he'll get another top coaching gig.
Of course, Les would have to give up complete control. I don't know how Les would get along with Leach. Leach has an ego the size of Texas.

I would actually be really scared to see what LSU could do with a real OC. They have unmatched talent, scary.

I dont want Les calling any damn plays, except fake punts and FGs. I want him to give the damn keys to a race car driver. Leach can play nice for a year or two. And I want to shake up this damn staff. We have three times the talent he ever had at TT. The guys is s freaking offensive genius. Giving him our talent would be like giving a pyromanic the keys to a fireworks factory, it would be explosive as hell and people would get burned

It doesn't matter what you want. Les is the head man and if he wants to have his say in the offense he CAN and WILL. It's not about who is an OFFENSIVE GENUIS who will bring all kinds of fancy stuff. Its who will work the best with Les to get a specific offensive identity that will lead us to consistent, positiv offensive production.

I'm pretty sure giving up 34 points isn't getting destroyed. The reason TT lost is because their Defense gave up 47 points. If LSU hires Leach he will be OC and will not have any control of the defense. If LSU puts up 34 points against a few SEC defenses this year they would be undefeated.
Now, I'm not saying he would be the best fit for LSU, but using the Ole Miss game as an example of what his offenses do against SEC teams is laughable.

before this year i would have said no. but now, i would take him. here is why.
first of all he is a lot more 'like able" than i thought he would be. i have enjoyed him on XM 143. he is also a very smart guy. now it did tick me off that he is suing ESPN over their coverage of his situation at TT, and that is about the stupidest law suit i have ever seen.
but the man reason is all of our 5 start receivers are going to waste, and our qbs are not taking the nest step. Leach made tyler potts a good college qb, and he did so with countless other no name 2 star qbs.
