I was told it was Ruggerio from day 1 fwiw.

I’d much rather him than Briles. Been doing it a bit longer, and what he’s done at Wake with their talent is more impressive than anything Briles has done imo. I’d be fine with Briles, don’t get me wrong, but I think Ruggerio would be the better hire.

That said, if he’s been the target from Day 1, what’s the hold up? It’s been 7 days since the ACCCG. Make him an offer, let him counter, and make a decision. Unless they both want to sit down and have a face-to-face to make sure they’re in alignment ( ) since they’ll be working close together.

Well, if it’s Ruggerio, what’s the delay in announcing?

Honestly I don’t think it’s him. That was the only name I have been told. Which leads me to think it isn’t.

Denbrock is 57 and Ruggiero is 55. I know it's not the same, but I'm starting to get a sense of when O wanted to fill his staff with "old guys" and acquaintances.

I believe you. Ruggiero is actually an interesting name. He runs a very RPO heavy offense and it's a little weird his name isn't out there more for other jobs. He has done a good job at WF and their offense was mega explosive this year. I believe they were second in scoring this year? Or they were at some point.

He's not a big name sexy pick that would wow recruits but he'd eventually establish a rep here. His scheme would likely fit the strengths of Howard. I don't think Nuss is going to last at LSU to next season tbh. I'd take Ruggeiro any day before Dunbrock.

He wasn't given the option to stay, what caused that I'm not sure of. But he was not being retained

Also why RC is so butt hurt..... That whole "no one talked to him spill" RC gives is nothing but a lie as well. Common sense will even tell you other wise.

Every time one of these "insiders" post something it almost seems like the opposite happens. Other than the Raymond news, it feels like the LSU brass are making the exact opposite move that everyone ends up loving. That is why I think we should all let it play out before melting about every tidbit. Adults are in charge now.

Young isn’t always better. Member when everyone was excited for that young playcaller Jake Peetz?

Both Denbrock and Rougarou are running top tier offenses in college football.
