O fans - majority or vocal minority

After listening to a bunch of the local radio shows today it seems most of the fans calling in are still on the O train. Great atmosphere, team played hard etc. Miles didn't recruit studs on O-line so game was unwindable, etc....
Does it seem like this is the majority of the fan base at this point. Or just a very vocal group still campaigning?
It's starting to worry me.

Why? Is anything you posted untrue? He can't remake the LSU team in a month's time.

Most of the O fans were squashed on Saturday. Atleast until we win again and they jump back on the bandwagon

I am not campaigning but he is my choice

I present exhibit A, above, for the key piece of evidence in this case.
Your honor, it is plain to see they are just a vocal minority who troll every O thread to defend him.

I have to admit that I was all on the O Train, but after the 2 wasted timeouts during the early 3rd quarter, just reminded me too much of Les Miles at the helm. I was always for O but with the caveat that he had to win out and I do mean win out not just play Bama close . This can't happen now so I jumped off the Oeaux train and I do believe the Oeaux train is a vocal MINORITY. We will see.

Most of the people I know of that count want Jimbo Fisher. His official response is not yet known.

The statements being true doesn't necessarily make him a qualified candidate.

He doesn't need to remake the team. O is not qualified to be LSU's head coach. He's had a lifetime of coaching to prove what he can do and he failed miserably when running his own program.

Yea, the O guys are loud. They want to give all the credit to O when things go good but no blame when things go bad.
And if he's retained, it'll always be more of the same.
Example:
When the offense fails:
"That was SE's fault. Our oline sucks. Our QB sucks. We need an elite OC! O needs time to recruit studs!"
What about when we were breaking records? Was O responsible for that?:
"Of course! He stayed out of SE's way and let him coordinate! He put the players in the right position! He let them utilize their talents! Clearly that's O doing a great job!"
You see. The man has a dream job. He can't lose.

They were the majority until last weekend. I'd say it's a pretty even split right now. If LSU struggles against Arkansas, however, CEO will start to see his contingency rapidly shrink.

Doesn't matter what this place or the radio thinks. The money people and the Ad are the only ones that matter.

Do you think the AD and money people were the only ones that mattered last November?

Whatever happens I hope O remains on the staff along with several other position coaches whose recruiting talents are the only reason the team has had any success. The on field coaching has never been the strength of the program recently.

Its pretty remarkable effort the people there now are doing to keep a top 5 recruiting class together for a coachless program. They deserve alot of respect.

quote:I completely agree. O is an amazing recruiter. I hope he stays as recruiting coordinator. I would be fine if we made him the highest paid RC in the country. But that's the extent of the offer I would give to O. He will probably not take it.

I hope he stays with the program and is rewarded in some capacity for working so hard to keep the ship afloat. He obviously loves the school and say what you will about the offensive game plan, the team played an extremely disciplined game.
