Both are being pursued by LSU. Meeting with them today.

If Scott caused usc, msu, and pedo state to over pay and then forces ND into hiring an unproven guy as head coach that would be master class.

why? Its BKs offense....always has been. he controls the offense just like he did at gvsu, cmu, cincy and ND. He allows Rees to call the plays during the game and has allowed Rees to start modernizing some of the concepts.

They want to keep freeman and bring on Fickell. Not sure they’re going to be able to do that.

I think it’s going to be tough for LSU to pull either one, let along both.
Freeman is possibly the heir apparent if Fickell passes, and Rees is a ND alum.
Of course, timing may not work out for Freeman if ND wants to wait on Fickell. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and he may just jump to LSU rather than waiting to see what happens with Fickell.

The story (rumor?) goes that Freeman was set to take the LSU job. Then people got into his ear that Orgeron was on thin ice. So he went to ND. Idk
I have a feeling when the dust settles he’s HC at ND or Cincinnati. My guess is Cincinnati.

To be accurate, Freeman turned down Coach O who was assumed to be on the hot seat in coaching circles. Freeman didn't necessarily turn down LSU.
