Not Dave Aranda as head coach

Not a good idea in my opinion. He seems too stoic,
not very outgoing. A head coaches job involves a lot more than being on the football field. Orgeron is a little rough around the edges but he is a good speaker (if you can understand cajunese), a good motivator and a good recruiter. The football seems better organized than it has been in a long time, so
this speaks well of O's managerial ability.
If we want someone that can relate to Louisiana kids
for recruiting and understands Louisiana culture
(remember 2/3 of Louisiana's population lives south
of I10) Coach O is the guy.
Some people can't see the forest for the trees.

Players don't give a shite if a coach lived in Louisiana. They want to win and get their best chance to go pro. Dumbshit

With Aranda's defensive acumen he don't have to recruit. He would have a staff of recruiters. Kids are already raving about playing in his defense. He puts EVERYONE in position to make plays. It's insane

I'm not convinced Aranda should be named HC, but this is a terrible argument against someone being a head coach.

Agreed, which is why you won't be hiring our next coach.
Speaking 'cajunese' has literally nothing to do with winning football games.

If we keep playing defense like this, no one will care what he says, or how he says it. The recruits will come and the donors will fawn and write big checks.
Hiring Aranda would definitely be a risk. However, if the powers that be really think he's a difference-maker level rising star, then maybe it's a move worth making. The results so far seem to point in that direction, but there are no guarantees in life or football.

Both O and Aranda would be 'risky' hires.
I much rather take my chance on the guy who doesn't have the established record but has shown how quick he can turn something around, rather than someone with a pretty awful losing record as HC.
