NOLA.com making a last second plea to LSU to stop the madness

Alleva, F. King, O, are you reading? Are you listening?
quote:
If Orgeron hires the 59-year-old Ensminger because he's like a comfortable, well-worn loafer that Orgeron can slip on and know how it will feel in every situation, then it appears the program hasn't changed since Miles and Cameron were dumped.
LSU annually recruits enough four-star prospects (with a few five-stars) to win at least eight or nine games each season. But you've also got to beat the elite teams to win championships.
quote:
Orgeron needs a coordinator who understands there's no such thing as scoring too many points.
That guy is former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze, who was 2-3 against Alabama in five seasons before he resigned in July after his school phone records revealed he had called escort services.
quote:
Orgeron can fill that role for Freeze, 48, who has suffered enough along with his family. They just want to get back to the normalcy of being part of a college football program.
As far as Freeze and the NCAA, what he did and didn't do in contributing to Ole Miss' probation was detailed in the NCAA investigation.
The NCAA report said Freeze "fell short of his monitoring responsibilities when members of his staff committed intentional violations and deliberately involved boosters in the recruitment of prized prospects."
But a positive for Freeze was the NCAA found he promoted an atmosphere of compliance after initially alleging he didn't.
quote:
Everywhere Freeze has coached, he has transformed solid quarterbacks into spectacular playmakers. His fast-paced offenses are attractive to the nation's best high school QBs.
While his offenses have been pass-heavy, it's only because he's never had running backs the caliber LSU annually recruits. If Orgeron hired Freeze, he wouldn't have to worry about Freeze understanding the importance of a north-south running game

The problem with Freeze is less his hypocritical penchant for hookers and more his penchant for NCAA violations.

Yeah, but with our holier than thou compliance department, there's no way he could commit a violation here

Would absolutely LOVE a Hugh Freeze hire

Even if it isn't Freeze, there is a PLETHORA of capable OC's out there that you could look at. Why are we rushing to promote the lifer TE coach?

Dude every successful program cheats, get over it
It’s hilarious that people crucify Freeze, yet their own school is doing the same exact thing. They just weren’t stupid enough to get caught.
If you think for one second that schools all across the SEC aren’t calling “Hookers” for their recruits and paying them under the table then you’re a fool.

Maybe Ensiminger/Sullivan is all a ploy to get people ok with a Freeze hire? That would be a nice turn of events. Doubt it but would be nice.

Nola.com, Louisiana’s very own CNN, makes more sense than the people in power at LSU. All one can do is laugh.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but y'all might as well move on from HF. It's not happening.

I really do not think LSU is prepared for the backlash.

Wow, NOLA.com bringing some heat.
That is great.
That is great.

Well they should be, its being very obvious what the majority of the fan base wants.
If they don't understand, they are more dumb than I thought.... that is saying something.

Wonder if Ed O's twitter will block NOLA.com from following him? Gotta be careful if you rustle their panties!

Serious question not trying to make a joke--- but why does LSU care what the national media thinks about us. They are already laughing at us with O being the coach, the Canada situation and the whole Florida debacle. So who cares what they would say if we hired freeze? Know what would get them to talk positive about LSU-winning! You get that with freeze. Spin it as a second chance story.

That would a 4-D chess move. Alleva and Coach O have a hard enough time figuring out checkers.
