He’s not nick saban and no one is
Coaches have to earn that kind of money
I would be shocked if next coach starts at anything close to what nick makes

Coaches are getting huge amounts of money for failing over and over. They don't have to earn shite.

Sure you can, a program can pay whatever they please. There’s no cap in college athletics so the term overpay shouldn’t exist.

If it's the market sure you can.

Look at what Tucker got.

Always makes me laugh when people on TD talk about the money.

That's the market for a big name.

If they don't spend the money, then you'll bitch about hiring a no name coach.

OP you pay what you have to. We shouldn't be bartering based on nickels and dimes. Get the best available regardless of price.

He has 1 win against SEC opponents. That win came against Florida after their season fell apart last year.

An upgrade from where we are now but not deserving to be the highest paid coach in the country

What I dont get is that people allowed themselves to fall for this. The whole Riley scenario, from top to bottom, was a self-perpetuating myth, even by TD standards, it was totally unrealistic . LSU cant reasonably afford to pay that kind of money to a HC, especially one that gags in big games.

Whoever started this rumor, I congratulate you on a lie well done. This will be hard to top.

Heard on radio last night that the agents have college ADs in their pockets right now and it’s totally true. You HAVE to pay coaches insane amounts of money because of the few that are setting the standard. It’s not my money thankfully but Lincoln at anything over $12M/yr is an insane as Tucker’s new deal
