It’s being reported that his current contract could potentially bar him from taking the LSU job. So, if the OP comment is true, the Saints might have a couple of strong cards to play, between this and the money repayment, if they actually do want to include that restriction of moving to the NFL (NFC South?) quickly.

terms of a contract being drawn up between LSU and Nielsen? Or that the Saints are trying to negotiate a document with Nielsen severing their relationship. And how does the fact that going to another NFL team for a promotion is generally ok play into the scenario?
