I think he did a favor for Kiffin and Verge. And created the marriage

You just don’t appear to be old enough to remember 2003-2012 based on your comments. You can also add in the SEC title in 2001, something Ole Miss hasn’t had since 1963. LSU has 8 of those since then.
the fact he said Z or Y tells you everything you need to know about him.

I’m just telling you. This is BK2
You are crazy. This should’ve been the hire when BK was brought in. BK was an old coach who needed to put out to the pasture not given the keys to a program like LSU. Kiffin will finally have LSU playing great offensive football consistently. With the talent his teams will access to on the defensive side of the ball I fully expect great seasons moving forward. Looking at his history building through the portal I expect it as early as next year.

I also had doubts Saban would have LSU's best interest in mind.

I agree with you.

He is nothing like BK. For one thing he actually locks down one side of the ball.

He's proven he can consistently win in the SEC.

Is his final moment of closure. I knew he was never coming back to coach, I had my doubts about him helping LSU in any capacity, but he surprised me and a lot of others. I think he wanted someone from his tree here, and (as most know) helped push Lane to take the job.

He won't ever coach LSU again, but this is his final love letter to LSU and their fanbase, catastrophe syndrome and all.

Do we even know it's true that Saban was some kind of consultant for lsu?

From my connections. We paid Nick close to a 7 figure deal to lead the search with the caveat that he was the back up plan if he couldn’t deliver.

It’s always been Lane.

No way. Saban was never coming back to coach lsu.

Bitch Ole Miss has never even played in an SEC championship game. Don’t ever try to talk shite about a team that is tied for the 2nd most National titles this century and has 5 SEC championships.

We can’t help that your goat coach would rather go to LSU than stay at Ole Piss even in a playoff year. Better enjoy this playoff because it’ll probably be the only one yall make in your lifetime.

Y’all only want him gone because he’s basically picked us over yall! How does it feel to have the best season in your schools history and your coach leaves for our 7 win team? Guess we always know who daddy is between the two programs! Florida is starting to learn it as well.

Jerry Dinardo were at the helm.

Gerry started off fine.... 1st, he got Faulk to stay in state, which started that ball rolling, vs. before, where all top flight talent left LA.... 2nd, the 96 team went 10-2 and won the West, and the 97 team went 9-3 and won the West again...

it did start to unravel in 98, where they had a fricking brutal schedule, and it just sorta snowballed from there.... but even so, while he may not be regarded as one of the best LSU coaches of all time, he did have a little success while here, so let's not act like he didn't

This is a true statement. I put my arse on the line and this forum doesn’t believe me, not even chicken. Got downvoted to hell because I’m a nobody I guess with not many posts at the time. Some sources are fake. But I never waffled and I know people as well. Was never worried. Nick was coming in if lane waffled and wanted to wait. LFK!

Good grief...when it comes to Saban LSU is the psycho high school ex girlfriend that thinks her ex dreams about her even after he's been happily married for 20 years with 3 kids and has forgotten her name.

Weird as frick.

Just let it go and enjoy the Freshwater Era.

Ok, but it's been reported and is pretty much a well known fact that he helped us one last time here
