Jboy said Lincoln to LSU.. his sources don’t know anything which means he doesn’t know anything.

That said, I’d love the hire

to me it’s similar to hiring Jimbo only without the recruiting edge

Big whoop. It's Notre Dame. That school actually can recruit itself.

bullshite. It's not the 1960s or 70s anymore.

One of the reasons Holtz got out of there 25 years ago was because admins started tightening up their academic standards for the football program.

Wrong.

Much tougher academic hills at ND regarding recruiting - NO question. And their facilities are not near SEC level. Won more games than any other ND coach.

Give him the facilities at LSU and the recruiting budget, he will be more than fine.

Not for the last 20 years. Kelly could be a killer recruiter here with the academic shackles taken off.

He’s a better coach than Jimbo.

Jimbo may be the most overrated coach in CFB

What a wretched hire that would be.

Would be a bad move by Scott. New coach needs a like ability factor.

Saban is one of the most unlikeable coaches I’ve ever followed. Winning fixes that.

Among many other problems, we have a culture problem here, maybe we need a hardass to come in here and clean house and change the culture. Brian Kelly has been on my list from the start, I think he would do great for us.

We need a culture change and Kelly will change it! Too many individuals in our locker room. Look what happened when the “me me me” guys quit this year….the defense got better because those kids WANTED to play

Now that O is gone, Jimbo’s definitely the most overpaid.

One of the best.

However, he's hard nosed and not as shiny as Kiffin. That's all they want, someone "Shiny."

For all you jackwagons concerned about perception, what would it say if LSU got a coach to leave Notre Dame in the middle of a possible playoff run yet again, to take the LSU job? On what planet is that not the statement of statements hire?

His entire life and career have been in the Northeast or Upper Midwest. Why would he want to come down south?

Notre Dame has admissions standards that are close to Stanford’s. It’s not like it used to be from that aspect and Kelly still gets good classes. Oh and he’s 100x smarter than the last two numb nuts that won titles here.

based on what?

anyway....

quote:

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly was asked if he'd ever leave the program of his own volition on Saturday after a TV segment of him started people talking about a possible move. Kelly did not mince words and swiftly rejected any notion that he'd leave the Fighting Irish for another job.

"No," Kelly said. "I mean, look, I think Mike Tomlin had the best line, right? Unless the fairy godmother comes by with that $250 million check, my wife would want to take a look at that first. I'd have to run it by her.
