He will be at LSU not Ole miss big difference who's gonna come calling?

The SECR has already decided it’ll be Bama in a few years and Kiffin will 100% take the job.

His original contract didn't. I can't find anything about his extension.

If they fire him, they owe the buyout.

It still won’t be simple.
MS law limits state contracts to 4 years. These extensions are contracts with separate, private athletic foundations, each with their own legal & accounting teams.
If it ended today Jimmy Sexton could fill the rest of the year with billable hours to get this resolved

Just said on his pod that he doesn't think Lane is walking away if they win Saturday.

If that happens, then we need to rescind any and all offers, and move on to our next choice.

Ole Miss wouldn’t be the only school he’s holding hostage.

Is he an Ole Miss guy? Is he retarded? Thought the game was Friday?

Why would kiffin sabotage the early signing period and portal for his new job?

You're not sabotaging anything for a single early signing day, when there is a 2nd signing day on February 4, 2026. Unless a recruit plans on early enrolling, this isn't too big of a deal as any recruit could just wait to sign with LSU in February after LSU gets coach figured out.

It's only a problem with the transfer portal if Ole Miss makes it to the Championship game, which is on January 19th, and there only being a single transfer portal window that closes before the Championship game.

The most significant recent change to the NCAA transfer portal is the implementation of a single, two-week window in January (Jan. 2-16, 2026) for all FBS and FCS players, which replaces the previous two separate windows.

A program like LSU shouldn't be rushing a coaching hire just to save a single recruiting/transfer portal class when that whole class could just transfer out a year later.

None of this makes any sense to me. Lane just announce that you are staying and release everyone from your shackles.

Neal doesn't think Ole Miss has the muscle or legal ability to suspend him.

Between this and the "ultimatum" that's been rumored here, what would prompt OM to even consider doing this?

Well, there’s also five weeks of recruiting and putting together a staff to consider.

I promise you there is far less drama in these coaching searches than what is reported here or by the sports media heads.

Yea I love all the retards here who are like "this is too much drama let's just lock in our 3rd or 4th choice and move on.

Like wtf are y'all talking about lmao? Outside of message boards and fan twitter (which mean next to nothing to those inside these programs), there is very little drama going on right now.

If he walks away and takes another job, he owes OM $4M. Its pretty clear at that point.

They din't fire him. He resigned his position.

And there is no drama. You know the alleged timeline. Post Egg Bowl.
