don’t know if Ed Orgeron is the person we want to look for in regards Dave Arandas job performance.

He’s gone out of his way to denigrate Dave’s role and diminish his contributions due to some underlying insecurities or personal disagreements about philosophy

And Dave stayed 3 more years after these lies about who recruited Phillips were made public. Weird.

I actually believe Napier could be a steal.

30-5 over his last three years as a head coach is not too shabby.

Nope, he was the one who told me ~12.5M per about 2.5/3 weeks ago for Riley. I have never wavered. I passed that along a while ago and still think it’s Riley. He was and is the only person that was told the job is theirs if they want it. Not Jimbo, not Tucker, not Franklin.

No no no and No. Campball would get it before Napier and or every other available NFL coach.

Between all of my trolling on this board I’ve been trying to tell y’all this. Woodward loves Napier. No homo.

Big boosters want him

Recruits’ parents want him

High school coaches want him

Yeah.

Woodward had to at least try to satiate the guys who wanted a huge hire. Napier already knew he had this in the bag as long as they struck out on Jimbo and Riley. He’s been well-informed about the entire process and people like Jordy Culotta are more informed than y’all may think (and this is coming from a guy that railed against Culotta in the off-season)

Thanks, Adam. I’m sure they’re dying to hear your opinion on their mental abilities.

Jordy pushed and wanted coach O his opinion should be void. He doesn't know shite except getting on radio feeding the masses what they want to hear.

Jordy is not informed. Jordy pushes the candidate that will give him the most access

He blatantly did it with Orgeron. Supposedly saw the issues in that and felt remorse, or what the frick ever. Now he’s doing it again with Napier.

He’s a self serving cock sucker. Period.

He already has an in with Wade and if Napier is hired, he’ll have the plug on him as well. He wants to be the go to guy when it comes to LSU coaches. How much you wanna bet he mentions Napier at some point with his weekly player interviews?

In all seriousness he may be great and would be a solid hire… for tcu or VT. In no way should he be in Baton Rouge unless Aranda and others say no.

Next coaching search maybe he should have a shot.

Campbell? Refresh my memory, was he the coach of the team Napier's team beat to open last year. 31-14 if I recall correctly.

but he is absolutely the most unproven when speaking of a job at a major SEC program.

Not really though? Aranda has been a head coach for two seasons. Napier has been a head coach for 4 seasons. Aranda was a coordinator for longer before getting the head coaching gig (and why he started higher on the food chain), but it's hard to say how relevant that is. Both are very young and early career.

I'm also not really convinced that either has a higher ceiling. Napier definitely knows how to build a program but wouldn't be a top 2 coordinator from an Xs and Os stand point if he were to be demoted. Aranda is basically the opposite. Definitely a top Xs and Os guy with question marks on his ability to program build. Both have a sky high limit if their weaknesses end up being minor in practice.

I also really don't see where everyone is seeing the bust potential with Napier. The danger with Napier is that he's Mark Richt. You'll never have a bad season but you'll also never make it across the hill. He's way too good at recruiting and gaining a locker room to be outright bad at LSU.

If he wasn’t at Lafayette, the people barking the hardest for him currently wouldn’t even want him mentioned because he doesn’t have power 5 experience

The ULL thing is helping him way more than it is hurting him.

You're getting downvotes, but this is true, no matter how much it's denied.

Look at the thread asking to choose between Napier, Campbell, and Tucker. Napier is getting the most votes. I'm not buying that he'd get the same level of support over two P5 coaches if he were at another Sun Belt program.

Just because programs like TCU or Virginia Tech are looking at Napier, doesn't mean LSU should hire him.

In more recent irrelevant news, Iowa State beat the shite out of a Texas team who beat the shite out of ULL.

Does Woodward want the fans to revolt? Granted, I’m not saying Napier would do a horrible job, but frick, dude. Do you not have an ear to the ground and hear ALL OF US SAYING HIRE DAVE frickING ARANDA?!

FWIW I think ULL would beat Texas at this point in the season too.
