If LSU has shown no interest at all in Napier that makes me think that they already have their guy

i dont' understand this.
our only coach to ever come from there was Yvette Girouard. that worked out pretty good

I don't know who to choose bc you tards swear Aranda and Napier will both beat us every year and win so many nattys. Either way we're losing out on an all time great.

If Florida offers him he probably should take it. It’s a great opportunity to show he can coach at the highest level. If successful he can stay put for years or pick his next job. If unsuccessful then he had an opportunity that doesn’t come around often.

Sounds like he is basically saying hire me or coach against me every year. LSU has someone else that they are locked in on
that’s actually interesting on two fronts.

1. Regardless of who LSU hired, if a UF Napier wins against LSU just one time, it’ll be a TIger Rant shite show.
2. Also it is tenuous if Florida hires him and we cannot secure our top three candidates.

This is all very interesting.

Tiger fans just want a splash hire, not the best coach.

Facts.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Chip Kelly was the ultimate "splash hire" at UCLA.

Yep.

Hires are justified a few years down the road. They are not justified by the marquis name.

It is. I'm pretty sure the recent Napier news is largely Sexton pressuring LSU (though Florida is also actually interested obviously), but if in 3 months it comes out that the "tier 2" candidates weren't given serious looks for the past two months because Woodward spent all day everyday trying to convince a guy who didn't even pick up the phone until you offered him a 50% raise, I'm going to melt. Aranda and Napier are clearly a class above people like Stoops and O Brien. Assuming they'd just come after you ignored them for 3 months is both incredibly naive and arrogant.

I'll also melt even more if Napier didn't get a call for the reasons why a subset of this board goes on a character assassination whenever his name comes up. God forbid you admit that "little brother" hired a good coach.

You realize you’re already melting over fictional scenarios you’ve imagined in your head due to posts by anonymous message board users?

This is a bold strategy one way or the other....I hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the arse.

I said it before my fear with Napier is that he would be the HC at UF after the 2022 season....I was one season too late.

Man if this is true it sounds like Napier is trying to do to us what Herman did to Texas.

This is precisely what he’s doing and they have posters on this board making it sound like a no brainer hire. Red flag manipulation like what Miles and O did repeatedly. Woodward will not fall for it. Sorry.
