Napier interview on Jordy's show this morning

Worth a listen if you think he's in the running for the job. He talks about their recruiting process, focusing on certain regions with 8 core areas. Talks about breaking down the year into 8 stages of development, 6 stages of recruiting and focusing on goals and objectives to get done within those specific plans.
He mentions things he's picked up along the way from Dabo, Todd Graham and Saban and notes that about 70% of what he does is what he learned from Saban but with his own spin on things. Admittedly "the plan" does sound a bit like "the process"

Worked with O. Maybe Jordy is setting himself up as the next special assistant. Does he have a binder yet?

I would too if I were him. He’s got an easy opportunity to reach the fans of a very prominent opening. Disguised as the ull coach covering ull

I remember the last guy he pimped to get the job. Now that guy is running LSU into the ground. No thanks!!

Napier will get his shot somewhere soon if he takes it. It just doesn’t appear that shot will be LSU.

I mean, that’s likely true, but it’s also absolutely 100% the best way to go about doing anything. You can’t focus on long-term results or goals. You can’t win the NC at once. It’s about not just doing all the little things right, but dominating them. Can’t think about winning the NC in the moment, the SEC, the SECW, the game, the quarter, the drive, or even the play. You have to focus on winning your specific matchup, dominating your opponent, doing your individual job in each and every moment—if everybody does that, the goals will take care of themselves.

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this guy. If lsu passes on him, there will be some big opportunities open up. So I’m excited to see what he can do. I think he’s gone from ull after this year regardless.

Y’all say he’s openly campaigning and I don’t disagree but he’s been doing interviews with pretty much anyone serious who asks and it goes back to his first year at UL. He’s just really open to talking to people and loves talking it seems.

Napier Derangement Syndrome. It's like TDS without the pink hair. The NDSs all want any coach not currently coaching ULL. None of these coaches have won a national championship many of which have been coaching P5 programs for years.

The amount of shameless propaganda for Napier at this point is insane. What I've learned from the Coaching Changes board about him in the last 24 hours:
- He speaks softly.
- His speaking cadence is slow because he's so intentional with his words.
- He still drives his old white Ford Explorer.
The level of saccharine obsession with this man by an increasingly large amount of people on this board (and in BR media) is disturbing.

Don't know where you got those quotes from. The only thing I care about is his experience and accomplishments. I am certain this is what is most important to the man making the actual decision. So carry on with your NDS

Which would be what, exactly? A win in the Lending Tree Bowl?
Or a 1-4 record against ranked opponents?
