Oh I know. I really meant that statement for Fat Bastard who has an ongoing Jimbo obsession.

O's face during the Arkansas game gave it away.

Shortly after the Arky game I saw a story on SDS I think that said it was Jimbo's job to turn down and money was not an issue and O's job if he does. I believe that and I also think that is what got Orgeron's demeanor tanked. I believe he has been told that.

I also believe that Jimbo has given positive signs because their don't seem to be much action going on and the end of the season is near.

FWIW, ESPN says Jimbo says he is not coming to LSU.

I did not get that message out of that tweet...

I heard it mentioned around the same mark you referred to that a possible plan is to give Coach O the job and to name Aranda as the head coach in waiting. Is that really an option that's being planned? If so, it makes no sense to give O the title of head coach. He could just be associate HC or something.

I'm indifferent with Jimbo. I don't think he brings any sort of an innovative offense that BAMA isnt built to beat...with that said, I guess I'll give him a chance.

For the record, Macintosh has admitted that he wants LSU to lose just so O wouldn't get hired. He's one of those guys and has been absolutely melting for a month now. So take what he says with a grain of salt.

Lol. You going to name a "coach in waiting" when your new head coach will be heading into year 1 of his tenure?

It's a great idea man. Gotta keep Aranda on at all costs.

Yeah, he doesn't bother me. He is the equivalent of having a conversation with a 10 year old that has autism and zero sports knowledge.

I understand wanting Herman

but being disappointed in Jimbo is a little much

I can't think of a time when a coach hopped from a tier 1 school after winning a title to another tier 1 school

that's something to be excited about.

It's not that I am "disappointed" by the prospect. I am just not jumping out my skin excited.

I do think LSU will do well under him and it is interesting to see the tier 1 to tier 1 transition like you are saying.

Regardless of Ws and Ls, I think it puts the LSU HC job on another level if you can steal a NC coach from a program like FSU. I gotta think that's a good thing in the long run.

ESPN decided to misrepresent Jimbo's quote. I don't know why, but I have some ideas...

I'm with you, Herman all the way.

Random's latest post about Herman keeping his cards close doesn't deter me one bit, it's actually pretty admirable and speaks volumes about his integrity and attention to detail.

If Strong is retained at Texas I have to think it changes everything.

Hypothetically speaking, what if Herman came here and then the Texas job opened up a year or 2 later? I'd hate to always be wondering if he was gonna jump ship.

I feel like Jimbo would retire here.

I'm also just typing words and have nothing to back any of this shite up.
