Mullen or Dabo?

6 months ago, either of these guys would be seen as
A big step up from O. I’d bet either guy would shut down any talk of leaving their spots with their respective teams.
Now though, either guy would probably listen but neither guy has anyone knocking.

They're both still a major step up from O.....
That said, I never thought Mullen was an elite coach. Just a pretty good one. Dabo, however, is an elite coach. They're having a really bad year, but I don't doubt they'll be back in the conversation for the playoffs next year. Assuming he's still there....

I mean Mullen can sure as hell coach up and develop a QB. But that's about it

Mullen has always sucked and the hype around him has always been extremely puzzling. Mullen is a poor man's Jimbo Fisher. Easy to crap on Dabo but I'm pretty sure he has one big for the vast majority of his career

Obviously Dabo. He would have the same challenges O does in that he relies so heavily on elite coordinators.

Mullen at least has an offensive mind set, but he is a total arse. Dabo is another O, has no real coordinator apptitude, just a rah rah guy that gets under your skin. He was just lucky to have some outstanding recruits, but now, he looks average.

He also doesn’t give a shite about recruiting. According to a 247 podcast this summer polling Florida high school programs on how the in-state schools work with them, the comments about the UF staff weren’t flattering. Many felt they are elitist and we’re put off by that and others commented on how little they engage other than over a chosen few players. That isn’t the case with Norvell or Diaz. frick ALL of this.
Mullen needs to go back to State. That’s where he belongs.
