Miss St. Coordinators?

With Zach Arnett taking over as HC and Leach previously running the Offense that leaves both coordinator positions open. Any word on who would fill them? I looked around but couldn't find any articles mentioning it.

Chris has previously rejected the notion of being anyone else's assistant. Are you just mentioning his name, or is there actual meat on that bone?

Lots of people have mentioned Hatcher due to his Leach connection.
SEC OC probably pays triple (quadruple?) what an FCS head coach makes.
Would be a solid career move.

When Chris was the head coach at Valdosta State (his and his wife's alma mater), he was linked to numerous OC openings. One, in particular, was at Florida State under Bowden.
Chris was very vocal that he was not interested in being anyone's assistant.
Granted, Murray State and Samford aren't easy coaching stops, but idle message board speculation isn't enough meat to convince me his opinion has changed. He could have had any number of FBS OC positions over the years.

DC position just got filled by our linebackers coach, Matt Brock, who called the defense during the bowl game. This will essentially just be a continuation of Arnett's defense.

The top 2 leading tacklers in the SEC are both mississippi state linebackers by the way. Only pair of p5 tacklers to finish 1 and 2 in a conference from the same team. Both are returning.

Word tonight is that he has verbally agreed and that there are some contractual things to iron out in the literature. We’ll see how the next few hours go.
