Miles is not Nick Saban: He will not stab his team in the back...

If Miles was going somewhere else, he would openly tell his team/players. The "calm before the storm" that everyone is crying about is bullshite. He has way more character than that.

ask Oklahoma State about that

OSU wasn't that great of a program either.

He is not going to be bothered before a bowl game and take the focus off the team.
If anything goes down, it will heat up this weekend.

What makes you think that he hasn't told them already in a private closed door meeting.

Going to Michigan would not be stabbing LSU in the back.

man do these people just try to block out the fact that miles stabbed his OSU team in the back when he left for LSU?

The NFL is a step up from college any day and I am a die hard LSU college football fan who does not care for the NFL but any NFL job has greater challenges than college.

And how do Saban stab LSU in the back? If you want to compare backstabbers, then use Fran and Fulmer

Leaving too late to conduct a proper coaching search.

LSU could have retained Saban but Skip did not pony up the money. Furthermore Saban returning to Bama probably had a lot to do with the Dolphines owner wanting to sell the team with Wayne informing him of his intent.

How in the frick did Saban stab LSU in the back? By going to the NFL? He didn't have success there so he took record money to coach for one of the most storied programs in college football. That's not being a backstabber, that's just business my man.

The coach with the most 10 win seasons in LSU history came out of that improper coaching search. I can only hope we will be so lucky this time.

Idk 04 season stunk it up. I was upset cus the team played like shite save a few games.

I wasn't upset with Saban leaving for the NFL. I was upset with him putting a top college program on hold while he held out for more power. I felt it was obvious he was leaving all along. I couldn't care less he is now at Bama.
I wouldn't really consider Miles stabbing OSU in the back because they weren't that big of a program.
I won't blame Miles, but it would suck horribly to lose our coach so late. It also sucks as taking the UM job would be a step down since their program is down and the SEC is where it is at. I don't blame him for leaving though.
FWIW, I think our fanbase isn't necessarily hospitable to any coach. I think it is the biggest negative of LSU athletics.

thats not true. from all accounts, he mulled over the decision for as long as he possibly could. theres nothing wrong with that, for gods sake, it was the biggest decision in his professional life. he gave LSU every opportunity to hold on to him with a pay raise, skip declined, so he went to miami, thats business, period.

WTF does this matter? if a coach screws over a program, he screws over a program, the programs level in the national scene is irrelevant
you cant have it both ways. you bash saban for taking his dream job(NFL), but dont bash les for taking his. neither screwed, or will screw LSU, it's just business. Outside of the regular season, there is no good time for a coaching change.
