Washington State just became my favorite PAC-12 school.

I just looked at Pullman up on a map. I knew it was in Eastern Washington and close to Montana, but if there were such a thing as a piece of land on an island, if that makes sense, Pullman would be it. Jesus christ.
It's nearly in Idaho. In fact, it's a ten minute drive from Pullman to Moscow, Idaho, where the U. of Idaho is located.

A buddy of mine went to Wazzu. They used to drive to Moscow, Idaho because it was happening compared to Pullman.
Mike Price had great success airing it out up there; Leach should have similar fun teams.

There honestly can't be a town more in the middle of nowhere other than Nome, AK.
Nome is a helluva lot more fun. Pretty wild town.

.... I do. I also know there was a rather heated debate over it. Clearly, we all just learned the outcome.
I'm sorry that your miserable broke and has to act as if no one else can have any connections.
For your fricking information I've never said I know the man personally. I've met him several times at our tailgate. He is good friends with my mother and all the other people at our tent from FedEx.
For your information - I have never once said I have spoken to Dan Jones about this but only that I have known him for 15+ years. I haven't spoken to him since he became Chancellor. My supposition was that if anyone had a clue about Dan Jones they would know that Leach was never going to step on campus - as a coach anyway. Was I right or wrong?
What the hell does my financial status have to do with using a bit of logic?

Board of Trade.
Town has sanitary/running water issues though. People I went to college with for a year in Anchorage had to shower at the high school in Nome growing up.

Yeah, friend of mine was a prosecutor up there for a few years, said it was no place to raise a child. I have been there in the winter and all the bush rats come to town and party.
Got a brother that lives in the Tri Cities (Richland area) and have been to Pullman several times, and it's not as bad as some make it out to be when you consider the Pullman/Moscow area but it is a bit boring.

Leach is from Wyoming - might explain his attraction to a job in that part of the country.

My thoughts exactly missing out on leach was a stupid move by the bears..

That's great! He will be a great hire, no doubt.

I'm not sure how I feel on this. For one, I think Leach is an excellent offensive coach (really, coach in general). At the bare minimum, he'll have Washington State competitive. On the other hand, I think he'll steal some recruits and talent from our most hated rival, Washington. So, anything to hurt them and bring them is a plus in my book. I think he'll be successful at Washington State. Will the win the Pac-12 and play in Rose Bowls? I highly doubt it. But, I can see him winning 6,7,8 games on a consistent basis.

I've been to an Oregon game there. Pullman is pretty boring, but it's a beautiful campus.
The stadium, on the other hand, is a dump.

Stewart Mandel tweets:
The Leach hiring apparently not significant enough to merit the first half hour of SportsCenter. A montage of Tim Tebow comebacks, though.

This just in .. Washington State will not be appearing on ESPN's Thursday night lineup for the next 5 years.

My uncle who went to grad school at Wazzu said that he had to go across the border to Idaho to buy beer because Pullman was in a dry county.

ESPN and Craig James thinks it's cool to smear someone's name.
