I disagree. Maybe this year from top to bottom but I think the top three teams beat your former top three.

my point was he will do more with less

That's a given, that is what Oregon, Oregon state, and WSU had to do for years....just have good coaching. Just like what Boise does now.

The question should be asked, will he do better than Mike Price at WSU?

Interesting you should ask. Bo Bounds had some national college football guy on his show this morning and he when Price was out there and having some success, he was signing 30-35 players every year hoping that 20 of them might work out. Can't do that anymore with scholarship limits and APR. So, no. He won't do as well as Price.

I counter with.....will he be there that long to be as successful as Price?

Ryan Leaf knows that all too well

So do I.... Both times I have been there, think it's where I spent most of my time.

Tubbs is making $2 million? Damn that is way too much for a washed up coach.

washed up? His last two seasons he beat OU, Texas, was ranked in the top 10, and made bowls. Not one losing season, bowl games every year, highest grad rate in the country, top 15 class on the way(pre-firing), etc. When I see the washed up comments I can't help but think that the smear campaign put on by James, the PR firm, and ESPN worked.

Texas Tech has always been an awfully tough place for a football coach to be successful.

Settle down, NIH. He was talking about Tuberville's being washed up (his words; not mine). I just really don't see all of the excitement you have for Leach. Yeah, he enjoyed more success at Texas Tech than most. He wrote a "how to" book that is going to revolution college football but plenty of people have written books that can't execute even what they put down on paper. I must have slept through the years where he won back to back to back national championships.
