Oh god. This is a set up for when OK State somehow beats OU. Half of the fans will be calling for Gundy rather than Riley. Don't fall for it again.

You wouldn't get Gundy to leave OkSt, even if he was a candidate.
I've got family there that work on campus and they work closely with the athletic department. Mike Gundy is practically a god in Stillwater. It's his alma mater, and the boosters love him. If OkSt was going to let him go, they'd have done it right after T Boone passed away... but they didn't. Coaches like that get a lot more perks than just reported pay.

I keep up with OSU as that is where my brother and I attended school (thanks to relocation while in high school and out of state tuition rates). Love Gundy. What he’s done at OSU has been a miracle. He would do great here, but as an OSU fan, I’d like to see lsu hire a different guy to get us a championship at lsu and let gundy continue his winning ways as OSU.

Gundy's got some schtick, but after watching him on that 2019 LSU-Clemson title game Megacast with Gundy, Patterson, Mason & Hafley breaking down each play, Gundy knew his shite.
As a matter of fact, Gundy & Hafley were the easily the two best minds of the four. Patterson rambled incessantly & misdiagnosed plays and Mason looked simply lost. It's no coincidence that neither one are no longer head coaches.
