Mel tucker kept $100,000 bonus awarded to the Michigan State staff for himself

The payment of the bowl bonus was confirmed in correspondence from the Michigan State Freedom of Information Act Office, which cited data it said had come from the athletics department.
Athletics department spokesman Matt Larson said in an email he was "respectfully declining" a request to interview Haller. Larson also said that Tucker declined to comment, and that the department and the university had no other comment on the payment to Tucker.

Just a note: Harbaugh gave his personal 1.5 million dollar bonus to athletic department employees.

This is why contract language is important. The $100K was essentially a slush fund for Tucker to oversee and give bonuses to himself and various deserving staff members.
There were no strings attached, and the dispersal of the $100K was completely left to him. He’s a POS grifter, but I don’t think this will be a way to fire him with cause.

I don’t think they are saying this would be the reason to fire him for cause. This just to turn the fan base against him.
The fire for cause would be lack of institutional control over the 7 assault charges his players received in the tunnel after the Michigan game.
