He has 10-2 handed on a platter every year, if they lose to the 2-3 remotely equal talent teams they play a year. And since Kelly pissed off ND, they funded new athletic updates, and have NIL rolling. Notre dame is most cake job in the country, and it isnt close.

Freeman has proven nothing as a coach. Go ahead and tell me he made it to the natty. Coach O won one.

What's your point?

Freeman will not take us to the promised land.

He would require a buyout and clearly LSU isn’t a place to go if you want that

To say he’s done nothing as a coach but kiffin is some massive prize is borderline retarded.

I like both of them and it would be incredible to pull either.

Freeman would be a slam dunk hire here. I doubt we get him but you should be thrilled if we do.

He's a fraud. Reminds me of Dale Brown. Great guy, can motivate, x's and o's are suspect. Denbrock is his meal ticket.

lol, because it goes without saying… he has no interest in following his predecessor to this clown show.

He cited strength of schedule, you know, THE GAMES THAT HE ACTUALLY COACHED?

I guess you can't or didn't read. I said he got the benefit of making the playoffs because he played a weak schedule. Including the playoff games in the SOS argument isn't valid. Anybody with any common sense or ability to read understands this and I wasn't the only poster to point this out.

Saban lost to ULM after being the head coach at Michigan St, LSU, and the Dolphins.

Saban losing to ULM in a Bama rebuild and Freeman losing to NI and Marshall after taking over an 11-1 team does not compute. Freeman is a really good coach. I'm just pointing out he's not the wonder boy the media makes him out to be.

If we can't get Kiffen, he is my 2nd choice. I think khe would fit in well over here, but why leave ND.

Hopium is more addictive than crack on this board.

You do realize that if he makes the playoffs, if you try to poach him, you will have NO shot.

Absolutely the most sensible take.

Strength of schedule has already been discussed here, but strength of record tells a better picture because playing good teams doesn't mean anything if you don't win. Since Freeman took over ND has finished with a SOR of:

33
11
4
9 (as of today)
Average: 14

Since we are comparing him to Lane, Ole Miss has been:

25
10
15
23 (as of today)
Average: 18

So sure Ole Miss may play a tougher schedule in theory but Lane isn't beating them. Why then is he some mythical GOAT and Freeman a scrub?
