Pretty incredible that Miami didn’t conduct a coaching search and had to pay Temple 4M to hire Diaz

Unless their administration has a change of heart I believe they are content to just ride it out with Manny and their current AD

Can’t imagine them pulling the plug this quickly. I mean who are you going to get?

Butch Davis

For real Miami is a shitshow.

They draw 30k a game
Recruits now don’t know them as the Miami you and I knew them as
They have Dan Mullen and Norvell and everyone else recruiting against them

I don’t see how Diaz survives next year

I would have laughed at this a couple years ago, but I'd try it. Mack Brown has brought life to UNC, why not try it with Butch

No idea what's going on there but it's situated on a gold mine.

He had a horrific roster to deal with. He’ll at least get another year. I can’t believe he ran off Enos though, that guy can coach. I’m thinking Diaz tried to control too much like rookie head coaches often do.

I think their facilities are way under par, being located in a high talent area only means so much when your infrastructure is badly outdated.

Donna Shalala is singularly responsible for the downfall of this once proud program.

This is what happens when you put idealistic SJW twats in charge of something.

That is simply not true, yes they had some holes, but Mark Rich got them a #12 class for 2017, a #8 class for 2018, and his retirement year they were still able to pull a #29 class which was good enough for 4th in the ACC. Dude just got shut out by a 3 loss LA Tech team. He has no one to blame but himself.

Edit: However I do agree with you on both the Enos point, the 1 more year point, and the took too much control point. Miami cannot afford their 4th coach in 5 years. Hopefully Diaz and the AD can get together and take a long look at what got them to this point. Maybe get some retired coaches to come in as shadow staff/advisers, I honestly think that could really help. Young/new head football coaches often new guidance to be successful, not just chewed up and spit out like what is currently happening. If all else fails I am sure he can get a position on Saban's coaching rehabilitation program and then get a head coaching job at a power 5 and win 10 games a year.

Miami should have just gone up the road to Boca last year.
