Saban could have UT in the hunt for 2014

It is the only way they get there

Well, that would be much more likely at UT in a year or two than Bama. The rest of the SEC isn't going anywhere bruh.

He has to rebuild UT. They won't get there in the first season. Look at his first season anywhere else.

Alabama, on the other hand, is probably the most stacked college football program in history right now, in terms of talent.

Pretty sure Alabama would get him there faster.

A Saban to TX move would be a culture shock that could last for a couple of years. It will depend on who buys into the process and who doesn't. There would be a lot of "weeding out" to take place.

If you want to understand the culture, go read his book.

Take off the crimson glasses. Yes your teams have been good. Yes your recruiting class is good. You are also losing a lot, especially AJ who you love so much. It has much less to do with Alabama and more to do with the competition in the SEC vs Big12. It wouldnt take him long at all to rebuild UT

My best friend since 7th grade (Jesus fricking Christ that was a long time ago ), the guy I tailgate with and go to games with, is in a position at his job that puts him in a room with very wealthy and powerful people almost daily, like Fortune 500 CEO/CFO/etc type people. He and one of the afore mentioned guys talks Alabama football basically every time they are in a room together and he has personal ties to a member of the BoT at UA.

I trust my friend literally with anything that he says and he tells me that this guy has never told him anything wrong in all the years he has been chatting with him.

Take that for what it's worth. I'm no insider but I trust what this guy tells me

What the hell are you laughing at? Mack's recruiting classes are comparable to Shula's.

So you have no solid, reputable source or anything?

Brett McMurphy on ESPN just said Mack is expected to step down and that Saban is Texas's first choice but sources close to Saban tell him he is staying at Alabama and that his new contract is being finalized this weekend.

8-4 this season with the team in the conference championship game

Talent is there. He'd just have to develop them
