Did LSU? Come on, man. We all want to see a meltdown, but it isn't like Bama isn't built to maintain a top 10-15 program even after Saban leaves. Les has kept LSU as a top 10-15 program
les is also a top 10 coach, which the replacement for Saban will more than likely not be

It's pretty brutal
Finebaum called Mack pathetic.
I wouldn't put it past Bama backers to paint Mack as some pathetic figure so it makes Saban think twice about taking the job and being the MAN that caused it.
Mack is fricking making out like a bandit.

Not this week. He's been killing himself.

If he gets 16 million a year he should just coach Texas in the BCS game in a few weeks against FSU and Auburn.

Up until this morning everything I had heard was from people that know people in Texas - not sure of their UT connection, just know they have $ connections. This morning I heard from someone that doesn't have a dog in the fight but has a ton of Louisiana and Bama connections.
Doesn't matter. We all will find out soon enough.
Not sure what will more fun to watch
The Bama meltdown if he leaves or Bama fans coming here to talk shite if he stays
or
The Texas meltdown if Mack stays or they hire a B coach instead.

If Mack Brown were head coach at Alabama with that record, he would have been run out of Tuscaloosa long before now.

100% agreed. I don't think the talent level is anywhere near good enough to make a run within the next 3 years. I do think he'll get the talent level back up though. Then it's a matter of making a good post-Saban hire.

The heart of it is that Bama is heads and shoulders ahead of other programs, at least until this year (including LSU).
LSU is a top 10 program. Bama, under Saban, has been something entirely different. Bama isn't going away, but under different leadership I expect there to be a lot more parity among Bama, Auburn and LSU (and maybe A&M).

Mack ain't staying.
It'll be Alabama melting down or a B hire.

During October when the first Saban to Texas report came out, one of the beat writers in Texas said that the problem with a lot of players was Texas was fill their head with bullshite. Basically telling every player that they are the greatest player to grace the field, so when they got to Texas they had this sense of entitlement. So they were never coached up, and developed because to the them Texas had already told them they were NFL ready.
