Mack Brown Friday Meeting Link

Confirmed Austin American Statesman

So since I am the only one who can read the full article, it says there is a meeting that will happen today.

Another Juicy Red McCombs Nugget "I hope, as they say in the good book, that all these things shall pass and be no more"

Texas is the biggest mystery in college football, how have you not put more trophies in the case?

We'll see how serious they are about it. If they can't manage to stay out of the way then they have no shot at Nick anyway. And I'm on the record as saying he isn't going anywhere but not because of UT's outside influences.

Alabama has been all about control. Mal allowed him to shape the program exactly the way he wants. He's not gonna abandon his greatest creation, his perfect finely tuned machine that he operates, and risk going to a place where he doesn't know the dynamic and he could be handcuffed.

Every morning I come here to read, and it's the same people praying for a miracle. The risk of four in a row has the LSU fans noticeably worried. At least the Auburn fans are happy if he stays. The LSU fans realize they need him to leave for Texas in order for LSU to be competing for national titles. Otherwise, LSU falls into a race for third or fourth in their own division.

Keep praying, Tiger fans. Maybe God will send you guys a new coach who won't lose to Ole Miss (Saban has lost at Alabama, but at least we haven't lost to Ole Miss).

Since Nick arrived in Alabama, he and Les have same number of SEC titles...LSU will be fine whether nick leaves or stays...

Why would we want him right next door and meddling in our most important OOS recruiting area?

Saban stepped into the same situations at LSU and Bama that is UT now. It's not surprising given the hierarchy of public universities. Political appointees on the governing body, the academic side, the AD all meddling. In that situation the HC just says GTFO. If he has wins to back him, it works. If he doesn't, it won't.

I think Saban can handle himself.
