If this ends up being the hire, and next year(with all we have coming back) is another shite show, he AND Woody should be shown the door. Next year, we should be in a NY6 bowl game at least.

No but every candidate that has been leaked was offered the job so I’m not holding my breath

I did just watch an interview with him when he was at Hawaii. He seems like a calm, thoughtful guy which the players will probably welcome after having to deal with lunatic Bo

There has to be a good defensive coordinator who has a top 30 defense that makes around 500k now. Bringing somebody from a power 5 school that does a lot with little. I want a defensive coordinator from a college, not some position coach from the NFL

Glen Schumann was all the rage recently. Looked at his resume and he was only a grad assistant at Bama before Kirby hired him at Georgia. He had no track record no real coaching experience yet this stupid board is melting over Jones who has 20 time the pedigree and coaching background from high school to college to pro.
I hope O hires this qualified guy if for nothing else just to piss off some of the idiots here.

People are mostly worried about being able to trash talk on the SEC Rant.
Major programs hire NFL position coaches as coordinators all the time.
Schumann is probably a great coach, and I wouldn’t be mad if we hired him, but his resume is razor thin.
All coaches have negatives and there are no sure things.

If you hire Jones, please map out the rest of the coaching staff taking into consideration the current staff members? Remember, you only get 10 coaches...

According to the Athletic Department's site, we currently have 8 coaches on staff. You've suggested we hire 3 additional coaches including Jones. That math doesn't work. I'm not here to disparage Jones in any way, I'm not sure we can sacrifice CR for a risky hire
