I think he is the right guy for the job. He will fit here.

LSU fans will have fun for 3-4 years and then they’ll dislike Lane the same way every fan base he’s ever left/been fired from, with the exception I guess of FAU, does. He’s good for a while but guaranteed to leave a sour taste anywhere he goes.

He will finally be at a true blue blood. You don’t just leave LSU for another job. Saban is the only one who did it and still regrets it to this day We will have Lane for a very long time. Miles would have 0 championships if he had left LSU for Michigan. Lane knows it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. He’s wanted this particular job for years. He’s not passing it up.

He gets bored very easily. He’ll go somewhere, I’m sure the NFL will call if he has the success you expect.

Well if he gives LSU 7 yrs like he did OM that’s a win in these times.

:). Yep. But that’s not OP’s options.

I think either way …. If LK came here and killed it, or if he came here and it just didn’t work out.

LSU would regret it. Obviously.

Maybe. Maybe not.
You know the rest.

Add another natty to the tab & then I don’t think anyone here will care one way or another.

Guy Kiffin made Blake Sims All SEC at QB. Cooper and Henry both crushed the SEC.

Kiffin makes the right DC hire and they'll be stacked.

You really haven’t taken this coaching search very well. I mean you have always been obsessed with LSU but the weirdness coming from you has noticeably been ratcheted up the last 2 weeks. May the holidays bring you peace and calm.

He’s turned a division 2 transfer into a Heisman contender and has Ole Miss at 11-1

Imagine what he will do at LSU…Coach O had the greatest team of all time here
