LSU may not miss me but will miss my money...

I've decided to spend the money I normally spend on LSU events on backing political candidates that will put LSU first. Not New Orleans first, not Baton Rouge first, not Lafayette first but LSU first.
That means I will spend my money to defeat the current Governor, as he obviously doesn't give a shite about LSU, cheap photo op aside.
When a Governor truly supports LSU, you can see it in tangible results on campus. When they don't, the school is nothing but a pawn used as a wedge to spend more money on pet projects and voting group retention.
So, hire whomever the frick you want to. My money will go to doing the same. In the end, when everyone is moaning and groaning about "I wish we had done this or why didn't we do that", I'll at least know that I did something constructive.
Will I still pull for LSU? Sure, I'll always do that. Will I hope that LSU prospers? Absolutely!
I'm simply not going to be treated like I'm some stupid a-hole that can be abused by those who indifferent to my desire that LSU Athletics should have a standard of excellence and reject anything other than excellence.

JBE was just at practice giving O some pointers about the running game he and Ensminger will implement next year. You know JBE is probably The Pirate King on here, thinks he is king while plunderin Louisiana dry and defending his good buddy Orgeron. Wouldn’t surprise me.

I'd rather have streets without massive potholes instead of a giving it all to lsu but whatever.

You're completely ignorant of how the world works. LSU plans are dictated by legislators years in advance.

Really? Ever hear how Huey P. Long used Federal money for dormitories that happened to be in the form of what is now Tiger Stadium?
I have forgotten more back door political shite than most people ever hear about that I witnessed first hand.
I can name names and give specific examples but what good would that do. Maybe if you weren't so naive you'd be outraged by this scam of a search as well.
LSU Football has always attempted to be a shining beacon for Louisiana, even when it was led by idiots such as Curley Hallman. I thought we learned that lesson and would never go back to that after we hired Nick Saban who showed LSU what it's true potential was.
It does take skilled coaching to go with dedicated athletes to win. One without the other is a waste, which is what we have now.

Great question. And you can hint without being specific if you prefer.

Enough that when spent on political opposition research and targeted messaging it will have an impact. In dollars, less than $20,000. It's not the money, it's what I'm spending it on that will count.

Jindal=FKing A
Jindal= Majority of current BOS appointees who’s agenda has been to privatize LSU. The business people on the board have more $$$ to gain thru privatizing than anything else.

So you've lost your faith in LSU and are putting it in politicians? Might as well just light it on fire and call it a day

Spend your money where you like and support who you want for governor. But blaming LSU's coaching problems and football problems on Edwards is a stretch.
This feels more like a political thread than a football thread.
I don't blame Edwards for our record. Had we won the national championship, I would give him no credit.
I love LSU football, but don't think its the job of any governor, Republican or Democrat, to stick his nose into football, other than to cheer on our state teams.

That's not much money at all for LSU to lose or for political contributions.
