Why do people care about what a coach makes? I’ve asked this many times and I’ve yet to get an answer.
The money is raised by boosters isn’t it?

The university doesn’t pay buyouts or salary at lsu , correct? Who cares how much some rich frick has to pay

I’m die hard purple and gold, but let’s be honest. LSU couldn’t have pulled BK from ND without an AD that overpays the F for a coach to do it.

It was the money. It had zero to do with any sort of connection or admiration for LSU.

Why do you care what boosters pay for a coach? Where was 15 million confirmed? This morning I read 10 for 100million

That’s not 15 million

Have you paid attention to the skyrocketing salaries this year? Especially for coaches with really no track record warranting that salary?

It’s going to keep climbing and you better be willing to pay for an elite coach…

Would you rather “over pay” for a coach like Kelly that has a proven track record of building programs at every level and winning consistently at every stop he has been or roll the dice with an “up and comer”?

I don’t care what or who paid him.

I’m just saying let’s be honest. It’s the massive money pay increase that he’d be the dumbest man alive to turn down that did. Every man has a price. Scott went up there with the Brinks truck.

We payin fo a service mayne. It’s a bidness deal.

Since saban left, lsu has had competent coaching on offense and defense one year really and we won a national championship that year . That was just with two good coordinators , head coach was Ed o and we know what he is.

I’m really excited to see the possibilities. I’m thinking 10 wins minimum every year. I would like to get freeman to come with Kelly if he doesn’t get the notre dame job. Not sure if he’s even a candidate though.

So what’s your gripe? LSU paid for an elite coach and did what it took to get him

That’s a problem ?

I don’t know that he comes without the big raise. He’s making 2.7 million at notre dame . He said that he wouldn’t leave without an unreal offer

Elite programs can pay what it takes to get top talent.

Because ALL of his players had to read and write. Limited the total amount of athletes he could sign which severely affected the team depth. That matters immensely in a 13-14 game season

And you are a puss. So we went from Riley on Sat to Kelly on Tuesday. Do you really believe that? It was Kelly from day one. Who cares if he is 60. Saban’s most productive years have been in his 60’s. His coaching, recruiting, professionalism plus LSUs talents is what makes this special.
